Florida TalentNet provides a centralized place for finding all the programs offered by postsecondary institutions in Florida. Postsecondary education programs are offered by five sectors: the State University System (SUS) of Florida, Florida College System (FCS), Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF), Commission for Independent Education (CIE), and public Career and Adult Education (CAE) institutes. The inventory includes programs from the technical certificate level up to professional programs and research doctorates.

The inventory facilitates assessment and decision-making by state and local agencies and organizations. As a dynamic tool it supports:

  • Education Program Development
    • Compare program areas
    • Assess needs
  • Workforce Development
    • Identify workforce training strengths
    • Locate programs providing specific workforce training
  • Economic Development
    • Provide comprehensive program information for businesses considering relocating to Florida
    • Assist in matching geographic regions to the needs of business and industry

Programs in the inventory are organized by the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) taxonomy, a system developed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Search results provide the following information on each instructional program:

  • CIP ID
  • CIP Title
  • Institution
  • Accreditation
  • Credential
  • County
  • EFI (Enterprise Florida, Inc.)
  • WFI (Workforce Florida, Inc.)

For information on accreditation of any program contact the accrediting body or institution directly.

If you have questions about using this tool, contact Richard Stevens or Peg Bonyata at the Florida Board of Governors.
